The Shooting Federation of Nova Scotia will be hosting an indoor postal competition this year. For those who are unfamiliar with a postal shoot, once you register, you will be mailed stickers to place on the back of your targets. You shoot them at your convenience within the allocated time and mail either the targets or your claim sheets (depending on your score) back. Scores are tallied, and awards given out based on the scores.
A postal competition is a way for you to compete without having to leave the comfort of your own range, while still comparing your skills with those throughout the province. It is hoped that this will be a stepping stone for some, to get you more active and involved in shooting and perhaps venturing out to other ranges during the year to shoot shoulder to shoulder matches.
The matches this year will be sporting rifle, prone and 3-P, ISSF rifle, prone and 3-P, and hunting/practical rifle, prone and 3-P
Anyone who shot in the last SFC postal match, your classification will be what was listed on the results sheet.
Any questions regarding this match should be directed to, pfairclough@eastlink.ca who will answer them.
I hope to see you at the range
