Well, another one down. My Taurus 66 showed up Friday and by Friday eve I had 150 shots down range. In a previous conversation with ALW he mentioned I would be reloading before long and he was right haha. I went to see Brian in Musquodoboit and he took me through the entire process. I'm all set up and I'm at about $10/ shot right now but hoping to drop that down to $0.20 per with time ;) I told my wife it would be WAY cheaper to go this way so I figure I better shoot a lot to get ahead of the initial start up cost!

Welcome to reloading! cost is one part but then there is the fun of rolling your own and making ammo more accurate as well.

Buy a big bulk box of 1000 cam pro rounds and you'll price will be nice and low then. Great bullets for just paper punching.

I'll second the 158gr .38/.357 CamPro bullets. They've shot well in both calibers. I really like the 158gr .38/.357 X-Metal semi wad cutters too. But the CamPro's are available locally at Hunt's, while the X-Metals have to be ordered from X-Reload.

If Brian sold you some of the Geco 158gr jacketed bullets he had, they shoot very well too. But they are expensive compared to the plated/coated bullets noted above.

You can order the campro from X reload as well and I think they may even be cheaper there than the x metal ones? Green diamond also carries can pro.

Pretty soon I'll have BOTH of yas casting bullets too! Haha.

Freedom Ventures in Halifax also carries a lot of Campro. They're good bullets for plinking and such.

I bought 1000 xmetal targets to start and see where I go from there. I will probably try what the range has next. I'm not going to say it's fun but I'm enjoying the process.

It might seem finicky and tedious at first but once you get the little kinks worked out and get your own rhythm going it's quite enjoyable.
